How To Transfer Your DotActiv License
If you are a DotActiv software customer, you might want to transfer your licence for a few reasons.
There are two possible reasons for this:
- You have bought a new device and want to use the DotActiv software on it; or
- You need to transfer the licence from one colleague to another.

How To Add A Grid To A Report Template
One of the objects available to add to a custom report is the ‘Grid’.
Furthermore, you can now select the grid type that you would like to add. You have the option to select a Base Grid or any of the planogram-based grids such as the:
- Shelf Report;
- Fixture Report;
- Gondola Report; or the
- Changes Report.
Based on a recent software update, we have added the ‘Plano Analysis’ to the list of grid type options that can be added. We, therefore, updated the article to include this new option.

How To Create A Custom Report
A Custom Report creates a standard report template that multiple shelf planners can use. This ensures consistency and efficiency since you can use the same report multiple times.
Once you’ve created your custom report, you can save the report as a .drt file. This allows you to share it with your colleagues and collaborate using one template.
We have also updated this article to include ‘saving a DRT’ as a tag if you’d like to know how to do so.

How To Turn Images On Or Off
Turning your product images on when planogramming can assist you in creating an aesthetically-pleasing planogram. In addition, the DotActiv software has an ‘Image Filter’ option to only turn on a selection of images on your planogram.
This is a great way to demonstrate where you’ve placed your house brand or if you have certain trade agreements with different brands.

How To Add A Planogram To A Report Template
Within the DotActiv software, there are various objects available to add to a custom report template. Amongst these options is the planogram.
When adding a planogram to a report template, you can further customise how you’d like the planogram to be displayed. You can choose to make use of Highlights, use the planoguide feature and filter your images.

Did you know that there is no limit to the number of pages you can add to a custom report?
When building a custom report in the DotActiv software, you can add new pages for additional information, remove any pages that you do not need, and arrange the current selection of pages to your liking.
We recently updated this article to mention that there is no limit to the number of pages you can add to a custom report. However, we do recommend that you don’t exceed 300 pages.

How Do I Upload Product Images?
The DotActiv software offers multiple ways in which you can upload images to your planogram. The method you use depends on the number of images you want to upload. If you are only uploading a single image, you can use the ‘drag and drop’ method.

Unable To Open The DotActiv Software
Struggling to open the DotActiv software?
One of the reasons you might be struggling could be that you do not have a database connection. To open the DotActiv software using a database, you require an internet connection.
